November 24-26 & 28th: Celebrate Thanksgiving Break at Burrow & Bloom’s Kids Village!

The scent of pumpkin spice is in the air, the leaves are turning, and the school calendar is flashing that glorious word: “Break!” Thanksgiving break is a wonderful opportunity for family togetherness, but let’s be honest, it can also quickly devolve into a silent symphony of beeps and glowing rectangles. After all the holiday prep, travel, and feasting, it’s easy for everyone, kids and adults alike, to retreat into their digital worlds.

But what if this year, you made a conscious effort to reclaim those precious moments? Imagine laughter, shared discoveries, and genuine connection that doesn’t involve a Wi-Fi password. At Burrow and Blooms Play Village, we believe the best memories are made when imaginations run wild, hands get busy, and families truly engage with each other.

This Thanksgiving break, we invite you to ditch the screens and rediscover the simple joy of playful connection. Here are three delightful ways to do just that in our village:

1. The Power of Cooperative Play: Build a Fort, Brew a Potion, or Bake a Pie Together!

One of the most magical aspects of a play village is how it naturally fosters collaboration. Unlike passive screen time, our open-ended play zones encourage families to work together towards a common goal. Step into our reading nook and pillows and cushions into an epic fort – a perfect hideaway for storytelling and giggles. Head over to the play home and create a sit-down meal for the family with various natural elements, discussing textures and scents. Or, better yet, become a Bandit Bakery master chef in our pretend bakery, “baking” delicious felt pies and serving them up with imaginary coffee and espresso.

These shared experiences aren’t just fun; they’re vital for developing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, all while strengthening family bonds.

2. Crafting Connections: Make Memories (and a “Thankful Tree”) Without the Home Mess

The holidays are synonymous with crafting, but the thought of glitter glue explosions and endless clean-up can often deter even the most enthusiastic parent. Good news! At Burrow and Bloom, we’ve got you covered. During the Thanksgiving break, we’re setting up a special pop-up “Thankful Tree” craft station.

This activity is a beautiful way to encourage reflection and gratitude, all while creating a meaningful keepsake. We’ll provide all the supplies—colorful paper leaves, markers, and a rustic “tree” display—and handle the post-craft clean-up. You simply get to enjoy guiding your child as they draw or write down things they’re grateful for, fostering heartfelt conversations about appreciation. It’s a chance to slow down, create something together, and focus on the true spirit of Thanksgiving.

3. Unleash Imagination: Spark Joy and Learning Through Unstructured Play

Screens often present pre-packaged narratives, leaving little room for children to drive their own stories. Our play village, however, is designed as a blank canvas for imagination. Here, your child isn’t just watching a story unfold; they are the author, director, and star!

Watch them transform into school teachers and students, master bakers, bustling shopkeepers, or adventurous explorers. Engage with them by asking open-ended questions: “What kind of goodies are you baking?” “What time does gym class start?” “Can I be your customer?” This kind of imaginative play is crucial for cognitive development, language skills, and emotional intelligence. It’s an authentic form of learning disguised as pure, unadulterated fun—and a wonderful way to connect with your child’s inner world.

This Thanksgiving break, give your family the gift of presence. Disconnect from the digital noise and reconnect with each other at Burrow and Bloom’s Play Village. We promise a break filled with laughter, creativity, and memories that will last long after the last piece of pie is gone

Your Oasis of Productivity and Relaxation

While your children are happily engaged in the Kids Village, you, the parent, can enjoy the dedicated front area of our space. This isn’t just a waiting room; it’s a carefully crafted environment designed to support your needs. Whether you have important meetings to attend, work deadlines to meet, or simply wish to unwind with a good book, our comfortable and quiet front area is at your disposal.

We understand the importance of a little fuel to keep you going. That’s why we offer complimentary coffee and tea for all parents. Sip on a warm beverage as you tackle your to-do list or simply enjoy a moment of peace. It’s our way of saying thank you for choosing Burrow & Bloom.

Making Memories This Thanksgiving Holiday
